Next, work on connecting spaces to that corner. The number of dice you get at the end of your turn is equal to the number of contiguous spaces you have connected, distributed randomly. Using this strategy, you will always last until 3 colours remain. From there on, it's just luck and which colour has the better corner(s) since in end-game, every colour will have their own corner. A good corner is one which is not connected to many spaces.

Early on, I try to grab edges and let the computers fight each other, but during 1v1 situations, it seems like whoever had the biggest territory coming into that situation wins. Also, I don't know whether or not to bother trying to defend, or to just attack whenever an enemy territory is at a dice disadvantage.

Don't go for split groups. b)Divide and conquor. If you can force the competing territories to split, that'll make it that much harder for them to build up. c)Contain and control. If you can maintain a larger territory, and then prevent anyone else from busting in, usually by having one group act as a buffer to other groups that are building up larger resources, Hold the one group back and build. Once you're the largest force, computer will stop attacking each other, which you can use. Be careful on loosing streaks. Also, let 8 die enemies bust thier attackers on your fortress die, and then take over afterwards. Don't go trying to rampage 8vs8. You'll loose.
