If something is jumping up and in a direction, their horizontal force will match their vertical force to some extent. you barely jump that high, then ROCKET OFF to the side, which messes people up. Either increase vertical jump length or decrease horizontal jump length, because right now it is too much.

>> [_] Anon 1163747 OP, your control is for you to decide, the entirety of a platformers character comes from it's sense of control and how the character moves in relation to how the player moves. On another note, your sense of level design is pretty fantastic if you whipped that setup up quickly. You have the quintessential beginning experiences for a platforming game, as well as a somewhat built in checkpoint whih the way it wraps around itself (yes it only saves you two jumps, but there's only three more after that to make it back to where you were). The small design is conceptually very good, and I hope the rest of the designs are as powerful.
