I mean, just look at the detail in the blinking animation! and her eyes watch the two lava bubbles independently! it's a surreal interpretation of MLP canon that gives the viewer a wonderful "aha!" moment. and Derpy's beautifully rendered emotions of worry and relief parallel and augment the viewer's slight interest. and just look at the shading and the little details in every step of animation. it's like a two minute masterpiece.
