I just finished part 3 of the anime. I was thoroughly disappointed and don't understand why this
series is so popular.

I didnt like the part 3 at all, well almost.
But i fucking loved part 1 and 2, it was so dramatically 80s, like hokuto no ken.
Did you not like the first two arcs? Thats JoJo for me, besides memes, and the game "flash"

I liked Part 1 the most, I liked Part 2 less, and I liked Part 3 the least. Overall I can sum up
my enjoyment of each part with the simple fact that character development decreases with each
successive part.
Jotaro never gets a single moment of development, despite being the main character, Polnareff
gets the most character development for some reason, and as a result he was just about the only
character I had any emotional investment in, and I spent a good chunk of the series questioning
why they decided to make one of the main characters a fucking dog with an uncanny valley face
instead of just a human character.
I also didn't like the existence of stands coming into the picture, it's like free power that the
characters don't even have to work for, which flies in the face of the theme in the previous
parts. Just didn't please me.

Well obviously my opinion isn't popular. I've had no exposure to this series prior, and I was
just trying to analyze the story on its merits, but the story is kinda nothing special at all. I
guess I just don't understand what about it is gripping to people.

died for me on part III, but its still good beyond my critics, because i just dont stand
