>> [_] Anon 3420438 what a champion
>> [_] Anon 3420440 Really bothers me that he didn't pick up his board/pads at the end. Not in the sense that he assumed someone else would, but in the sense that we didn't see them picked up. I would've been satisfied if we saw someone else pick them up, but as far as we can tell, they were just discarded and are lying there with no one to pick them up. That really bothers me when people make a mess like that and don't clean up. In the first place, there was really no need for him to toss them like that, he could've just placed them together in a neat little pile that at least would barely be in the way, and be easy to pick up. Instead, someone would have to walk halfway across the place to pick up every piece of equipment he threw. That's really inefficient and there's no reason for it, other than just carelessness on Tony's part. Cool 900, though.
>> [_] Tony Hawk's existential nightmare 3420459 But ... why?
>> [_] Are You Tony Hawk? Yes. Why? 3420464 >># can you even comprehend what it's like being almost 50 and trying to do 900 for god knows how many hours and every time you fail the landing the pain just stacks on top of each other
>> [_] Anon 3420465 >># I wouldn't be that miffed if he just dropped them in one spot for someone else to easily pick up. Why did he have to throw them all over the place? If your argument is that he's tired and sore, then it's expected that Tony would want to exert himself as little as possible afterwards. Simply dropping the pads where he stood would achieve that. Throwing them across the room, as he did, would be the opposite of that, as that's much more effort.
>> [_] Anon 3420497 >># >># OTSM
>> [_] Anon 3420545 >># i can honestly feel the autism through my monitor, wtf who thinks this much about something so mundane
>> [_] Anon 3420547 >># These kinds of things just really bother me. Like in a movie/TV show and there's a scene where someone enters a room. The open the door, go about their business, but never close the door. It's one thing if it's a room in a house, but when it's the front door, I can't sit calmly. Not while I know their front door is open and they're just going about their business like nothing's wrong. Is it that hard to show a 2 second scene of them closing the front door?
>> [_] Anon 3420554 >># >># sounds like OCD to me
>> [_] Anon 3420555 >># This man has never been absolutely fed up with something in his life Kinda sad
>> [_] Anon 3420576 Why the fuck did he throw all his gear over the damn place.

>> [_] Anon 3234471 thanks for everything tony
>> [_] Anon 3234473 Tony could have left off a little bit more professional. Not just: Okay whatever here's the 900, never again, fuck you.
>> [_] Anon 3234474 >># Hes been THE name in the game for such a long time, this is a bittersweet send off, i dont think anyone cares that he peels out like "Fuck y'all"
>> [_] Anon 3234475 >># To be fair, falling on your ass from 20 feet in the air hurts pretty bad. Must kill when you're 48. He's probably glad to be done.
>> [_] Anon 3234478 >># I think he was just tired as fuck and wanted to get out of there and rest. You can see all the sweat on his head when he took the helmet off, and it probably took several hours to actually nail the trick, so he was pretty done by the end.
>> [_] Anon 3234492 i don't think he's been terribly relevant in a while. he tried bringing back the tony hawk franchise but it kept failing. and skateboarding has fallen back to being niche again. he'll try again though. pride won't let up on him.
>> [_] Anon 3234493 >># I believe in him as well, Mrs. Hawk.

>> [_] Anon 3122589 Tony hawk is a cool dude.
>> [_] Anon 3122597 Man, everything about him just eminates an aura of "radicool 90's teen". It's kind of out of this world.
>> [_] Anon 3122602 >># Yeah, I know what you mean. He also doesn't look a day over 30.
>> [_] Anon 3122607 >># Nigga what, he looked like he should have broken a bone every single time he fumbled the trick. He looks exactly his age, if not older.
>> [_] Anon 3122628 >># That's kind of a testament to his skill, 48 and still among the best.
>> [_] Anon 3122629 >># I was hearing Goldfinger and Bad Religion in my head while watching this
>> [_] Anon 3122664 >># Feel that summer air.
>> [_] Anon 3122677 Did anyone find this as sad as I did? It's like ok, he did the 900 again but at any competition they wouldn't have given him 5 tries to get it right. You could tell he was really dissapointed even though he nailed it in the end. Poor Tony. You fucking kids nowadays better fucking come up with the cure for aging.
>> [_] Anon 3122696 >># Not really. You're attributing a lot of things to aging that to me seem more about his rustiness from no longer competing. If it was about aging then his best chance to do the 900 would have been the first time instead of it taking multiple tries to "remember" it. Go a few years without doing something and you'll screw up, no matter your age.
>> [_] Anon 3122699 >># It did felt a little sad when he said it was his last and left in a rush.
>> [_] Anon 3122704 >># Wanted to make it to the hospital quick so they could put his hips back together.
>> [_] Anon 3122718 >># You know, the editors decided that it had to be a little sad/happy moment, they could just as well have made him look like a super hero by just showing him driving to the skate hall, then showing the 900, then showing him wave them off, as if doing a 900 was nothing. However, they chose to show his failed jumps and falls and his back against the camera after the failed attempts.
>> [_] Anon 3122730 >># >they wouldn't have given him 5 tries to get it right I'm pretty sure in 1999 they gave him 10.
>> [_] Anon 3122738 >># No, they gave him 11.

>> [_] Anon 3112911 I don't feel that happy for him for some reason. I think it's the fact he just tore off all his shit like "IT'S ABOUT FUCKING TIME. FUCK THIS SHIT. GOD DAMMIT." And said "Yep, this won't be the last time I do it. Bye." And just got the fuck out of there. He didn't even want to do it, and you could tell he was just nothing but aggravated about it.

>> [_] Anon 3106138 >He still acts like a total douche >Skaters still use 20 takes to do a single trick
>> [_] Anon 3106155 >># >Damn kids with their wheelie boards doing their damn tricks in my cul de sac >They should do something like mow a lawn or watch wheel of fortune >How dare they have fun doing what I don't like
>> [_] Anon 3106156 >># >Kids He's a 48 year old man.
>> [_] Anon 3106157 >># The ending to this video completely threw me off and made the entire thing really weird. At first I was thinking "oh wow, even though he's a middle aged man now he still in the spirit to skate, awesome!" But then once he starts skating the video feels a little less light hearted and fun, but you figure it can get frustrating attempting the same thing over and over again. When he finally landed it, I expected a happy light hearted response like "hey I may be old but I still got it!" But instead it seemed really strange. When he threw his helmet on the ground and ripped off all his pads I was like "huh?" and he just kinda walks off, hugs his son I think, then he just quickly says "yeah my last 900 k bye" and speeds off really quickly. This video feels more like a cold realization that he's done, rather than a warm greeting from an old hero who's still got it. Either that or Tony Hawk just found out he has cancer or something.
>> [_] Anon 3106159 >># >You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain
>> [_] Anon 3106160 >># It's not really that he's "the villain" now, but something about the energy of this video seems really off, like seeing tony hawk still be able to do the 900 at 48 should be an exciting and refreshing thing to see but something about this video, mainly the ending, but also everything else when you go back to it, just feels really off.
>> [_] Anon 3106163 >># It's Tony fucking Hawk driving to an indoor skatepark, with only a few people watching as he fails 6 times to do a classic trick. It just seems like an odd situation, made more weird by the ending like you said. Is he retired now?
>> [_] Anon 3106167 >># It's pretty much a given that Tony'll get hurt and pissed off when you see him go to do a difficult stunt. It's also a given that you'll see him pull it off anyway. But yeah, it's not frustrating, that shit's fucking painful. Always has been.
>> [_] Anon 3106168 >># you're totally right at first I thought he just comes there and just owns the whole thing but that didn't happen, instead we see him struggling through it and you can see his building frustration and the ending feels like it all was just a chore to do >># >6 tries more like 60 my friend >a classic trick so classic officially only 14 people have done it so far and yes he's retired for 17 years now
>> [_] Anon 3106171 It should be noted that it's extremely difficult to actually pull off a 900, and falling over and over like he did is very painful. No wonder he got angry.
>> [_] Anon 3106172 >># >># >># Well it's a given that he isn't going to land it on his first try, nobody is expecting that, but you'd think afterwards when he does finally land it there would be the relief from all the frustration that build up from failing it so many times, but it doesn't really seem like that happens in the video, it looks like he's just ready to get the hell out of there the moment he lands it. It's hard to explain, but you'd think he would be more happy about it, but he looks like there's something else going on emotionally. Idk, maybe I'm just looking into this too much, but his response to landing the 900 again at 48 years old just doesn't really seem right to me.
>> [_] Anon 3106180 >># No there is definitely a realization in his reaction that he can't be doin' with this anymore, which is why he said with his son that he saw his first and he saw his last Earlier in the video hints at this "I never thought I'd be doing this at my age when I was young"
>> [_] Anon 3106187 >># Yeah, but I mean really, who DID think he would still be doing 900s at 48? I guess maybe it was the realization that he'll really probably never do another 900 again that made it less of a happy video. I think he should try again for his 70th birthday, it would probably kill him at that point if he didn't land it on the first try, but oooooh boy if he landed that 900 at 70, that would be awesome.
>> [_] Anon 3106196 old man dusty green bones I can do 900's in my sleep I can do 1800's also
>> [_] Anon 3106199 >># Anyone can do a 900 while they're sleeping. Hell, I bet I could do a 7200 sleeping.
>> [_] Anon 3106245 >># >>6 tries Try 600.
>> [_] Anon 3106253 >># I don't think his knees would even exist when he's 70
>> [_] Anon 3106258 The trifles of age, young lads. Hawk realized through flesh and bone he's not young anymore, that he's not The Tony Hawk. Anything your parents have told you will make more sense every passing year. They were correct, and you are so small.
>> [_] Anon 3106274 >># Its funny to me.
