Personally, I find that most mediums of entertainment suffer from things that consistently bring them down and with anime, it's its cheesiness that hurts it the most. BUT, if you're willing to give one more show a shot, I'd definitely recommend watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. And the reason I suggest this is because I really feel like it's a story worth experiencing and it'd be a shame if it was missed out on just because it was an anime. Does it suffer from anime tropes? For the most part, no, but characters do still go on Shakespearean aside spiels from time to time. JoJo's can be summarized as a Bram Stoker-esque Vampire-hunting legacy saga of a family's struggle to kill one single vampire that continues to haunt their line with misfortune. It is incredibly cheesy but more along the lines of a western comic book and that's something I find to be amazing since it manages to be cheesy but genuinely interesting at the same time. The writing is very west-inspired and character security is fragile. Despite being an anime, I'd have to say that watching JoJo's felt like I was watching an animated adaptation of a D&D campaign because it felt like any of the main characters could die at any moment.

I will, however, say that action scenes in JoJo's are less about pure action and more about highlighting the cunning of the characters. This also goes into the whole matter of "the characters are the stage". So, instead of intense and over-the-top choreography in fight scenes like you'd see in an action movie, you get characters trying to scheme against each other. If you want something that's pure action, I'd recommend One Punch Man. Basically, a show about power-creep regarding one character where the mundane actions of other super heroes only serves to ramp up the demonstrations of hilariously absurd amounts of power the main-character has to the point that the show can't avoid being noticed as a parody of other shows with over-powered main characters that can't lose. But if waiting for the absolute best stuff isnt to your taste, Id recommend looking up "Saitama v Genos" or "Saitama v Boros"
