>> Anon 43499 puts GTAV to shame, story wise. San andreas puts it to shame in every other way as well as story. Vice city however, was the most fun. cant even explain it.
>> Anon 43519 >># Personally I had the most fun with GTA3. There's a lot of nostalgia for sure, it was the game that made me realize how awesome games could be, but the car physics were just so hilarious in GTA3 that the game had the best car chases. It was very fun to just drive around and being chased. The game also had a cheat code that gave all pedestrians weapons and another one that made them attack each other. Put the two together and you'd incidentally have what they called "Liberty City Survivor" on the in-game radio: bullets flying everywhere. When you had that and also got SWAT or FBI after you it was fun to try to get to a Paint n Spray on the other side of town. In the end I knew all three islands by heart, every building, every shortcut. I wonder how much I still remember, it has been over 10 years since I played it now. Vice City beat GTA3 in story and then San Andreas came and blew them both out of the water. But neither of them had as fun car chases with the more realistic physics and I was disappointed that they didn't have the same funny cheat codes. GTA4 was good and GTA5 great, but since I was no longer a kid when those came out they couldn't touch me as deep as the older games. While we're at it, GTA1 was pretty fun to when I first played it. Was too young to understand the story though. Never played GTA2 much, had fun multiplayer sessions in school with it though.
>> Anon 43541 I played GTA4 to completion, and while good, I still think San andreas had a one up on it. GTAV I felt was super generic. gameplay and online is cool, but single player is super generic. I didn't notice the change in driving mechanics between 3 and vice city tbh. Vice city is too short though. easily beatable in one sitting.
>> Anon 43840 >># Never really reflected on the length of Vice City, was it really short? I haven't played it since it was new but I remember it felt long to me. Of course I wanted to do every mission, maybe you mean it's short if you rush and skip a lot.
