The presentation is excellent too, it's one of the best looking and sounding VNs of its era. All of that made it really disappointing when I found the story boring, which is kind of a death sentence for a visual novel. I'd still recommend checking it out if you're interested, even if it's your first untranslated VN. I don't recall the Japanese as being too complex or challenging; it could be a great passion project for a new learner.

The maid wasn't emotionless, she was just stoic. She showed her emotions when she could, but she kept her behavior very professional. The two important male characters I remember are Daichi, who appears to them in two timelines, and Keith, who shows up several times and interferes with their journey.
