Check that you have flash installed and that swf files are set to be opened by your browser
  (waterfox) by default

I can play swf files in both embed and fullscreen using Firefox Quantum 64.0 (64-bit). It says
the browser is up to date in Help > About.

I don't even have the ESR version of Firefox (Extended Support Release). Perhaps it is necessary
to simply enable flash in Tools > Add-ons > Plugins.

Shame that it should be this difficult to just play back flash. No browser seem to honor their
own words and actually fully support flash to at least 2020. Feels like they are deliberately
making it harder and harder to playback flash so that more and more creators will not use flash,
that way it won't be such a hard cutoff in 2020 and less people will complain at the same time.
Damn shame, swf is the best format the web has ever seen. Most folks have been tricked into
thinking its bad, they just doesn't know any better. Flash should be fixed, not abandoned.

>> [_] Anonymous 12/22/18(Sat)17:51:22 No.3374018

Ya see, Firefox is best for flash playing.
With the flash player plugin, disable Mcafe trial before downloading.

Then Download the Flash Player projector from the adobe debug page, here it is

  https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/debug_downloads.html

then set that to play with all .swf files you download.

  Right click, Save link as...

Sort the files in folders of 4chan f
  as tags, like [A]nime [G]ames [J]apanese
  and so on

then enjoy and be sure to backup your collection befor you post recoverharddrive.swf

  peace :)

right now it's disabled by default, click embed and allow flash

for local swfs you could use custom html page with chrome or install standalone flash player

what really suck in chrome now is the muting icon isn't clickable anymore

  from swfchan:
"Local flashes not playing offline in Firefox? Here's how to fix it:
  1) Type "about:config" into your address bar and search for "plug*ht".
  2) Double-click "plugins.http_https_only" to set its value to false. "

you may have to play with the settings
I've only got it to work when giving the extension read and change access to all sites
so it probably isn't the safest thing to use

>> [_] Anonymous 12/23/18(Sun)00:26:54 No.3374056

I use avast secure browser, is there is a setting i can change to always allow flash to play? Its
fucking annoying that I keep being babysat by the computer.
