The haruhi dance you used is actually stacking, but only because the people who made it were stupid; they included all parts of every frame instead of only strictly necessary/changed parts, so after removing whitespace you can import it directly as a gif. To do this, make a new symbol as a graphic and compile the gif into that graphic (you can drag from desktop/folder) This will import all bitmaps in order and give them a standard framerate which you can tweak; to reduce clutter I recommend foldering up independent gifs once they are in your library. >i created my [strobe] by adding a layer with many keyframes and staggering the colours between frames I recommend converting this into a graphic symbol, too. The concept is right, but if you put it in a symbol, it will automatically loop based on the frames you set. This gives you finer control over your loop and means less room for error when making more complex effects. Even if this was a ruse, best of luck in your endeavors! More flashes are good flashes.
