[_] Flash Games Archival Thread Anon 3440458 I need help from our tech savvy /f/rens. I'm trying to download all the games from this website. http://nigoro.jp/en/games/rose_l/ The site loads up a flash from an external site which asks for cookie consent, once one approves the actual game swf file is fetched. The file themselves then need a bit of tinkering around in JPEXS to work, but that's easy stuff. Now the problem is how to get the game swf file. https://i.imgur.com/yEu9hRM.png ^With Inspect Element open I can see the game (the 3.41MB file) being fetched, but what I want to know is what is the URL of the flash file so it can be saved. These websites might die any day now and the content on them lost forever. If you know any other flash games that haven't been archived link them here.
>> [_] Anon 3440465 RokkoChan http://king-soukutu.com/flash/rokko.html Rockman clone, I think it hasn't been dumped yet. Doesn't work on Firefox for some reason. The page loads up loader.swf and d3.swf; loader.swf load up rock_project.swf, but there must be definitely more files since these 3 together are only 1.5MB. http://king-soukutu.com/flash/swf/loader .swf http://king-soukutu.com/flash/swf/d3 http://king-soukutu.com/flash/swf/rock_p roject.swf RokkoChanNetwork! http://king-soukutu.com/unity/rokkoNet.h tml Sequel to RokkoChan in Unity Web Player, although technically not Flash, it's still a browser game made with a deprecated plugin.
>> [_] Anon 3440473 Fun, getting one shotted by the final boss on easy was pretty funny. Would like to see the ending since the art is great, but it's a bit of a drag to start over.
>> [_] Anon 3440475 I don't have any tools installed any more, but if you were to use Sothink or JPEXS to study the loader, you should likely find a reference to a directory in the nigoro domain which contains the site's swf resources, or a reference to the php script that fetches it backend. All we know is teh resource is called "nigoro010e", so you're likely looking for a "nigoro010e.swf" object. It's possible, but unlikely that the game is a .swc component, but given that the loader is a whopping 3.4MB, it could be that the common code for all the games is in the loader, and the particular resources are in a swc, making it practically impossible to rebuild outside the domain. I scoured the browser cache on disk, and in memory, and only find the loader with the php call attached. There is no swf to be found other than the loader. It erroneously saves as a .php document, but it has the "CWS..." magic number in its header, showing it's a .swf file. Changing the extension to .swf and running it proves out to be an instance of the loader with nothing in it. Time to shout out to the big guns, someone must know how to intercept everything. The usual grabbers I used to use no longer work on current Firefox, and nigori doesn't seem to like Chrome, so I'm at a loss.
>> [_] Anon 3440476 ...oh, also just found this: https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/
>> [_] Anon 3440480 view-source:http://256sv.com/game/RoseCa melliaL/rosecamelliaLe_base.php?id=nigoro 010e Looking at the source file of the swf, the database site contains javascript to forbid other domains from loading the file. Luckily, there exists a simple script to bypass cross domain embedding restriction. In theory, all you'd have to do is run the 256sv script locally after adding: unpkg.com/x-frame-bypass If all else fails, try contacting reading / contacting this org: https://rhizome.org/editorial/2013/feb/2 5/preserving-flash/ They have very similar interests as OP, and would be likely willing to help.
>> [_] Anon 3440481 >># Opening 256loader.php in JPEXS shows that it is indeed a swf file. It's size is NOT 3.4MB, but just 36.5 KB. The only Sprites and Shapes are those related to the loader. Ctl-F doesn't show any results for "www" "http" "php" "swf" "nigoro" nor "256". I don't know AS tho, maybe someone more well versed can take a look at it and understand how it works https://files.catbox.moe/xxsgkd.swf
>> [_] Anon 3440483 >># Woops, should have included this info on the bypass script: https://github.com/niutech/x-frame-bypass
>> [_] Anon 3440484 >># >># >view-source:http://256sv.com/game/RoseC amelliaL/rosecamelliaLe_base.php?id=nigor o010e This file is completely empty to me.
>> [_] Anon 3440485 >># For some reason, it will not load unless clicked from the embedded iframe in OP's first link. Here's a copy: https://pastebin.pl/view/245c680c
>> [_] Anon 3440487 >># >https://rhizome.org/editorial/2013/feb/ 25/preserving-flash/ followed link there to "swfmill", tool looks interesting. Looks like you can build a flash with external assets by calling out to whatever domain and fetching the resource, it builds the swf container.
>> [_] Anon 3440497 >># he's one of them you nigger
>> [_] Anon 3440498 >># them?
>> [_] Anon 3440506 >># You know, "THEM". It's a big conspiracy theory. Alex Jones type stuff.
>> [_] Anon 3440513 >># >># All these games are on flashpoint >>#
>> [_] Anon 3440564 i assume the swf file does not show up in firefox's cache? check "about:cache" for the path where it saves temporary internet files on disk (somewhere inside AppData). you might want to clear these files first so you can more easily figure out which one is the loaded flash (if it shows up at all) otherwise you could try an addon/extension that allows you to modify your browser's request header, that way you could get the url of the request and maybe download it that way? (i wish flash didn't have the ability to read external files, even though i get that it made flash more useful)
