  it is actually a pretty good game, though i thought that it looped after the first boss. was
  about to quit at 40 kills but then i noticed one of the guys i killed dropped a blue thing. i
  thought it was a power-up but it was a mine, i died when i picked it up.

  i think the enemies should start dropping blue mines after you kill the first boss, was pretty
  dull between the first and 2nd boss. and the second boss seems to be the same as the first boss

  The aiming mechanic is actually kind of cool, but if you're going to use the mouse, you need to
  assign directional movement to WASD, not the arrow keys (it's weird having my hands bunch up way
  to the right like that)

  It does run rather slow for me too. Not choppy (3 GHZ processor w/ 1 GB RAM, firefox, and linux).

  I'm not sure how you can optimize a flash game, though.

  A for effort. If you ever improve it, I will gladly play again.

  Core mechanics look good, although the gameplay takes too long to get interesting, and having
  missiles you can just hover until an enemy shows up decreases the challenge.

  The explosions lag to high hell. Stop using transparent gradient particles - when they layer over
  each other they have to calculate blended values hundreds of times. Also simple gradients look
  like shit. Just animate a simple explosion sprite or at least use multiple types of particles for
  the bursts.

  Other than that, it's a good start.

  I noticed that the missiles actually lose fuel after a bit, shortening that might help, but it
  seems like it still needs to be a little long to kill the boss. I'd say introducing 2+ enemies at
  a time would be a simple solution, and maybe reducing the missile fuel by 10-20%.
