[_] /r/ inside Anon 3439913 I love flash files. They were the tool behind many of the very greatest, most creative and groundbreaking art, movies, and games on the internet. And most importantly, all during a period of the internet where freedom and originality flourished in ways which are mostly gone today. However, the death of the format has sadly doomed a lot of this entire cultural era to obscurity, and nothing has really managed to fill the place it occupied. My request would be that if you have a collection of /f/lash which you feel others might enjoy or is worth sharing/preserving - maybe you could upload it to MEGA or some other file sharing site and post it here. Then we could all browse it, discover or rediscover something great, or just reminisce ITT. Music, games, humor, shitposts, crusty compressed videos, anything at least somewhat entertaining or significant. They don't have to all be high works of art - a static image and a loop of music can be surprisingly impactful. And I love /f/ for this reason, it's led me to discover some great (and forgotten) music and art thanks to anons with great taste, who've managed to create, juxtapose, or simply share things with others, all using a largely dead format. You could also post any online collections/directories of flash files you feel are worth sharing. On the plus side it's way easier to eliminate double entries. It's more use for browsing purposes I assume, or to see if you maybe missed a thing in your collections. Sadly I never got around to properly organize it, it's really more of a minefield than anything else. Still, enjoy /f/. Also note that swfchan itself has a user driven "a classic" category.
