>> [_] Anon 3394728 still haven't finished this show
>> [_] Anon 3394734 >># I don't think you can still watch this today. It was just so much a product of its damn time. There isn't any real value to watching it in this day and age of waifus.
>> [_] Anon 3394738 >># You're probably right. I watched it some 5 years ago and could't understand why it had the impact that it did. It certainly had production values above and beyon those of its peers, but not one thing stroke me as clearly outstanding. Still had fun reading the archived threads for endless 8 while I watched it though. I'd recommend it just for that.
>> [_] Anon 3394753 >># >># >># This generation, they don't know. They don't know. Kids these days. This generation. They don't know. They missed out.
>> [_] Anon 3394759 >># I've been meaning to get around to finishing it. I've been rewatching it again and despite what some say I'd argue it has just as much impact, if not more, than it had at it's time. The main issue, however, is that a lot of kids never really bothered to learn how to watch it correctly (I.E. Season 1 order than Season 2 order) so they miss out on a lot of what made it special. Even if it did end up coming to Netflix, a lot of the n00bs would just miss the point.
>> [_] Anon 3394796 >># can you blame us, though? that's quite essentially how time works and how history forms, anon. no need to distance yourself from it with self-inflicted nostalgia sads
>> [_] Anon 3394808 >># still know the whole dance. goddamn I miss this show; more specifically the culture that formed around it, so so much. >># i suppose the show popularised many things that are now very standard across the whole medium, that should one rewatch it now after watching much modern anime, whatever impact it did have would almost certainly be swimming amongst a sea of mediocrity in the current time. there is merit at being the first to something however.
