Near as I can tell:
Guy's a mortician for a religious cult, and processes the bodies of those slain. They're led by a
group of angels or some such that seem to be druggies(using the blood of rats to get high).
Guys falls in love with girl, girl works in a brothel, which is only allowed for use by the
troops of the cult.
Guy decides to become a solider so he can be with the girl he loves, dies very quickly. Girl
commits suicide, leader uses rat licking poison for his drug addiction, dies as well.

fuck yes kol-belov! it's easy to forget how much his work has improved, and how grimdark it used
to be. THE PRODUCT is still probably my favorite short animated piece of all time.
