Anyone know a good way compress swf's that contain video instead of animation? I really need to
cut down on the size of one I'm making but am having problems...It's 16 mb's now, I'd like to get
it to around 5...

grab a copy of VirtualDub, add filter to resize the movie, and change the frame rate to maybe
20fps, export without compression (huge ass file)
make flash project, set fps to 20 then import the huge ass file into flash, select place it in
time line option. tweak the image quality settings (bit rate), keep audio quality high (its the
images that take up space). note that some image bitrates are better than others even if the
others are higher (for example ive noticed that 100 bitrate gives better image quality than 125
bitrate, only tried once though).
you may skip the VirtualDub step if you wish but id reccomend it. but keep the fps of the movie
the same as the flash project else you will get audio sync problems

Reminds me of when my girlfriend and I were taking a bath... She was sitting there shampooing her
