The bad thing isn't that facebook is filled with personal information in itself, it's because when you decide to upload something, be it photos or personal information, they own it. They will, as it is their property, sell it to advertisement companies for a lot of money. You wont be able to delete your account to get rid of this information. Furthermore, they use the information to make personalized advertisement. That means if you upload a picture with you or other people skiing, you'll see advertisement for ski resorts picked for you personally. This is illegal in many countries. Facebook is also known for impersonating people you have on your friends list to invite you to try IQ-tests, which costs relatively big sum of money (but I guess the offer is a test in itself, since you wont have in IQ much higher than 100 if you fall for this). This is also illegal in many countries. But of course, not in Amerrikka.
