[_] [?] Binary Clock Anon 994906 Need suggestions for something to add to the right to balance it out... Also, let me know if the timezone display on the left isn't working properly, which it should so long as you have your timezone set correctly... Marked for deletion (old).
>> [_] Anon 994921 Call me an idiot, but why don't I see any numbers if this is a "clock" and a binary one at that?
>> [_] Anon 994929 >># Look at the blocks surrounding the ticking cirlces in the middle of the clock. I assume 0 is off, and 1 is on. you can get binary numbers out of it by following the blocks. Binary clock.
>> [_] Anon 994935 >># Says its around 4am for me..it's off by about 3 hours.. I don't think your timezone detection works at all. Still, really cool clock. And yes, I've made sure my computer is set to the proper time zone etc etc.
>> [_] Anon 994940 >># Might be either flash or the map I used. Probably a bit of both, that and the curvature of the shadow is a little off, and depending on what timezone you're in, it might not work properly because of the way some retards decided that countries spanning several timezones would have the one singular time.
>> [_] Anon 994942 What is this I don't even
>> [_] Polysynchronicity 994945 Timezone map is accurate for me. As far as the right side, how about times in major cities? San Fran, New York, London, Moscow, Tokyo, Shanghai, Sydney, that kind of thing.
>> [_] Anon 994970 >># This could be a good idea, I'm going to try something.
>> [_] Polysynchronicity 994974 >># Have fun, I'm sleepan.
>> [_] Anon 994987 >># Night-o.
>> [_] Anon 994990 i dont know why you have it reversed put the right on left and its better... also since the most binary bits you will need to calculate 24 hour time (im assuming that since it doesnt have a A/PM function that it is) is at most 5 binary spots. (24 being 11000) and on the other side its 6 (111100 being 60 though that traverses back to 0) so for visual as stated above put the hours on the left (makes sense since Hrs:Mins) and quite possibly make it to read down. so 53 reads (mins) 1 1 0 1 0 1
>> [_] Anon 995008 >># First, the harder it is to read, the more interesting/fun (at least in my opinion) the clock is, and the more fun to be had practicing to read it. Second, I reversed the order of the bits because I wanted the bit that will reflect the best to change most often, and there are 8 bits because binary systems are most commonly implemented as 2^n, and 5/6 being larger than 2^2 but smaller than 2^3, I opted with the larger for rather obvious reasons. Also, there's no reason for the hours to preceed the minutes, having them on the left doesn't change anything other than the similarities between this and a common digital clock, which I wanted to avoid anyway.
>> [_] Anon 995071 Inner ring is milliseconds, one full rotation is 2000ms Outer ring is seconds, one full rotation is one minute Left side is minutes in 8-bit binary Right side is hours in 8-bit binary
>> [_] Anon 995073 >># i dont like that idea at all he has the clock just fine
>> [_] Anon 995173 the timezone display isn't working properly for me, it has me almost at dusk and it's 11:20 AM here. My timezone is also properly set. This is a really cool idea, I like it a lot. Just needs to get some of the bugs worked out.
