I agree that this was blown out of proportion, but a lot of people take out loans they can't
repay because they have no other real choice. Student loans, for example, are commonly a
necessity to earn a college degree, which is now a standard for employability because most people
have one, whereas it used to be a lot less common, and internships now typically require at least
some college education. At the very best, a graduate has an entry-level position with shit pay to
look forward to, and in a generation of downward mobility, a promotion or pay raise in the near
future is unlikely.
"People have problems that I don't have because they're stupid and I'm not" is exactly why this
stupid-ass series of flashes is posted constantly.
