It's a webcomic in the style of an old adventure game, like the "Quests" of /tg/. But unlike
Quests, Homestuck doesn't run off of random internet denizens suggesting things for the
protagonists to do, and instead the author just fucks around with extreme amounts of time travel
and wanks over how clever he thinks he is. It started as a surreal, "what the fuck am I reading"
experience, then took some nice twists into a genuinely gripping and fun story. Then the author
decided that fun was inferior to filler, and it became a fucking tedious read. If you read it,
you should experience a significant drop-off once the "Mayor" starts fading into the background.
If that part feels like it's lost its whimsy and the whole thing starts to drag, trust me when I
say that the true bullshit starts when it gets to Alternia. Series. Fucking. Over.
