[_] Ignore the bump requests. Anon-sama 11/06/12(Tue)04:52 No.1802154

It's a Zeitgeist fag trying to get /f/ back to where they can post their stupid spam shit again.

  Also, Touhou Tuesday.

Marked for deletion (old).

If that were true it would prove that captchas don't work against Zeitgeist.
Also if it would be a Zeitgeistspammer why wouldn't he spam zeitgeist?

>> [_] Anonymous 11/06/12(Tue)04:58 No.1802159

  >>1802154
  That makes absolutely no sense.

You are saying that the zeitgeist guy is spamming so he can spam more in the future?

The spam is done by humans and the captcha does nothing except if anything make the situation
  worse.

  >>>/q/268107
As a 4chan pass holder I am against Captcha being here. Besides have mods ever responded to
  report requests?

>> [_] Anon-sama 11/06/12(Tue)05:03 No.1802161

  >>1802159
They have responded to report requests, yes. And besides, Captcha weeds out the people who don't
have the patience to post. Not to mention the fact that clearly, the Zeitgeist spamming hasn't
continued since the Captcha was added to /f/ itself. Haven't seen a single flash involving
  Zeitgeist since it was added.

what if the zeitgeist spammer is moot trying to get us to have captcha!

I am pretty certain it was a human spammer and I am sure it will be back...

  >They have responded to report requests, yes
They didn't respond when faggers was spammed all over /f/
The didn't respond when all the pregnancy shit was spammed all over /f/
They didn't respond when Zeitgeist was spammed all over /f/
  >Captcha weeds out the people who don't have the patience to post
We are such a slow board that this won't have any impact.
  >Not to mention the fact that clearly, the Zeitgeist spamming hasn't continued since the Captcha

  Yet

You fail to realize it takes someone CLICKING the report button to get a mod to do something.
Most people don't do it. They just bitch and whine, and nothing gets done.

>> [_] Anonymous 11/06/12(Tue)05:30 No.1802178

I see no reason to have captcha here. /f/ is a slow moving board in the first place and this will
only slow it down. I never watch Zeitgeist but i don't really have a problem with it, it never
fills the whole board and there are those who enjoy them plus it encourages people to post more
flashes to get rid of them.

>> [_] Anonymous 11/06/12(Tue)05:34 No.1802180

  >>1802168
Sure, I don't know about other people but I know that I always reported them.
Reporting wouldn't solve the spam problem permanently anyway. But if moot or the mods at least
once in a while would browse /f/ I'm sure it would take them only a few seconds to look over the
list and ban the person that uploads that shit. Also they could ban the flashes so that it can't
  be uploaded anymore.
If you search for Zeitgeist on swfchan you get 277 results and almost half of them was posted
  more than once.
But you know all this would require that moot actually had at least a little interest in this
  board or its users.

>> [_] Anon-sama 11/06/12(Tue)05:49 No.1802184

  >>1802180
I've actually SEEN Moot step in and take care of business before. Don't claim Moot has no
interest. There's simply a whole lot of other problems, on all the other boards, that draw Moot's
  attention.

Now, if more people actually DID report the flashes, it would get Moot's attention faster. Not to
mention that a mass influx of reports would get the other mods' attentions as well.

Alright, it might be because he lives almost on the other side of the world from me why I have
never seen him here. Anyway, I'd like to write you a longer answer but I have to go offline.
Good discussion though, Anon-sama, even if I still don't believe that it will make this place any
  better. Have a nice day.

  this.

bitching and whining only leads to shit

>> [_] Anonymous 11/06/12(Tue)09:56 No.1802261

Amazingly, I agree with OP. We should wait and see if the spamming stops.

If the spammers have a little automated script, the captcha will force them to work for two
minutes instead of running their automation. That might dissuade them.

If they're doing it by hand, the extra seconds of effort might put them off.

I think there's only a slight chance, but it might stop them.

Obviously the spammers might do anything right now in an effort to make things easier in the
future. The current complaints might be spammers or regular 4chan /f/ellows.

My personal opinion is that having Zeitgeist here is slightly worse than having a captcha.
