This seems like a gross perversion of the classic "Sambo" character, where the nose is broadened
to a comic size as well as the lips. This flash represents someone who is completely insecure in
who he is as a man, so he must put on intimidating make up and throw out tired slogans of
machismo. There is no confidence in his voice, and viewers never get a clean look at his face,
and this is no accident. He wishes for respect and admiration but will perpetually fall short of
it due to his fear and ignorance.
