This is a really good game.
Easy to play. Hard to master.
A lot of it is mind games too.
The fact that you feel rushed because of the rising laser, which actually gives you ample time to
adjust yourself for about 2 jumps, makes you screw up more than you should along with your desire
to simply go fast.

369, Don't stress the laser very much.... I found that it basically repositions itself whenever
you stay in place for too long (How long too long is depends how high you are). So if you hang on
the wall for any ammount of time you will see it. I have never been caught by the laser on a
serious run.
I guess if you didn't notice there are three types of jumps I have found.
1) Long jump - Hold Escape longer while jumping.
2) Small Jump - Tap Escape, shot hop.
3) Jump Chain (For lack of a better name) - Where you move very fast and the character is leaving
behind doubles of himself. I find that you mostly go into this after hitting a wall and Long
Jumping right away. In general it's... well I die more because I'm doing this than any other
reason....
Also there seems to be a lot of luck involved. I have made it to 250 without any serious
obsticals, and I have had times where before I hit 100 I am dealing with more challenging jumps.
Just got to get lucky.

nah that's just momentum, you can build up a lot of speed by buffering your jumps. Keeping a
little bit of momentum is important for getting past longer spike walls
