usagi drop
it's slice-of-life though...and apparently the second half of the manga (the anime ends at the
halfway point) shows everything 10 years later....and they get married.

nope. Turns out that the grandpa adopted her too, so there's no blood relation. And it's japan,
after all...

... the guy and the little kid get married? I mean, I know this is 4chan and all, but ewwwwww...
Thanks, though. I'll check it out. I'm a big fan of slice-of-life shows.

guise, guise, it is ten years later. She's most likely 16-18.
I guess the point of it all is that it's supposed to be sweet or slightly romantic. The dude
saves her from foster care, he takes care of her, quits smoking for her, and ten years later, she
falls in love with him.
......and its target demographic is adult women

yea i guess your right.
16 and a 40 year old is totally OK
especially when its your official/unofficial adoptive father

mmm good point.
the point is supposed to be something deeper though, I dunno....
Just think of it as a sweet story, then think of it as a japanese story, and move on, you know?

"series ends with Rin planning to have a child with Daikichi" Yea...
Physiological books have written over the type of "abuse" this relationship has, i forget the
actual term though

Yes, I can add. And what is he at that point, like 35? While legal, I still find it skeevy.

thats about 20 years difference, so what? that much of an age difference isnt way to uncommon.
and she's 6 in the beginning so she knows its not really her father, just a guardian taking care
of her, also not blood related etc.
meh, i can understand it, just looks kinda weird from the outside.

You people are seriously ruining a happy story about an adoptive big brother caring for an
orphan'd girl
I choose to take that option

It sounds like a heartwarming series (hence the josei category) and I want to watch it and then
read the 2nd half, but you can't dare to call him her adoptive big brother. He's thirty when she
is 6!
I mean yes, the grandpa adopted her as his daughter and he was a shit ton older than her, but
that's as a father, not a brother.
