Just make the PCs spend a few hundred gold for someone to translate it, plus the mini quest of
finding someone who can read it

I've had new players do shit like this.. Similar to rape to things like "I take the dragon's
penis" or "I kill the shopkeep and take everything." I kill their character asap and boot them
out of the game. There is a fine line between freedom to do what you want, and actually having
fun.
