Rosario+Vampire. Also, hearing the dubbed voices trying to say Tsukune and make it sound natural
got some big cringes out of me. Subs are superior for this one, it seems. The anime was a typical
harem anime, which is a shame because it had an amusing idea for its setting/points of interest.
It just didn't play to them well at all.

tries to defend having crazy awesome powers. Yep. The power of the arms-out protect-the-girl pose

Gets up at the last possible second, saves girl, then pusses out. Next season, nothing nothing
nothing until last episode, where he shows off powers for 2 minutes, then they dry up leaving him
normal again. Except for being all pec'd out.
I could put up with it if he had a point to being in the story at all. He could easily be taken
out of the story all together, and nobody would notice.

The manga goes farther than the anime. Spoiler: All the parts at the school felt like one massive
build-up for when they go to fight on the flying fortress. When they leave the school, it gets
way better.
