Alignment isn't that big an issue, you'll end up gaining a hell of a lot through grinding to get
to final boss.
I killed Siegfried and got -60 alignment, then that shot up to like 100 just from killing the
dragon, and it kept going up from there.

Pretty much. All scenes are unlocked when you finish the game though.
A good tactic is to spend your experience on nothing but health and strength, and buy the
strongest sword. That way you can use aphrodisiac, take the hit and then blow them away with a
3000+ damage attack.
