What is with /f/ and their general consensus with hating dubstep? Seriously, is it because it
isn't auto-tuned rap or indie garbage (Not ALL indie bands are garbage, just 99% of them,
including what YOU listen to).
I was the same way as you, once, listening to shitty music without even knowing it. Then I

Dubstep is fine, but it's become what trance was in the 2000's -- a genre that has merit but
whose popularity has caused it to become shitflooded beyond all belief with the lowest quality

genre, 2-step garage and dub. hence dub-step.

burial, flux pavillion, etc. they do dubstep. and some other genres for some of them.

dubstep is a category of EM(electronic music), or EDM if you want.
electro also is EM. so is house, trance, techno,hardcore(hardstyle, gabber), jungle/DnB,
breakbeat, glitch, chiptune, minimal, anthem/epic(things like bryan adams-heaven), ambient, acid,
etc.
the same way death metal is a category of metal

I agree to a point, but when I first dubstep ALL I heard was a bunch of faggots waiting for a
drop, and then some anticlimactic mediocre techno. Then I heard black sun empire's "watseland"
and I thought, ok there is potential here. But really, dubstep before had nothing on drum and
bass, and while it still doesn't now overall, at least the propagation of the genre has created
SOME decent music, such as the aforementioned song.

yeah, this is NOT dubstep. Wubs != dubstep, despite what skrillex would like you to believe. Real
dubstep has drops, and builds, instead of just constant wubs.
