Because updated information (OP is not a faggot.) anon pls

Updated information in some regards, but flat out missing chunks in sections that are increasing
in popularity. Clearly also written by an opinionated pandering manchild. These 'guides' are
little more than the ramblings of waht could well be an angry disillusioned failed producer.
Shame he affiliates with DI, cause he's the worst from them I've seen. Oh well, not everything's
  perfect.

That version is many years old, as well.
And, yeah, he can be incredibly opinionated and wrong about the validity of some genres, but he's
generally insightful about the history and evolution of the edm genres.

Will Ishkur ever get around to version 3?

>> [_] Anonymous 02/26/13(Tue)00:45 No.1897258

why doesn't /mu/ or /f/ make something like this?

>> [_] Anonymous 02/26/13(Tue)00:59 No.1897273

  >>1897258
Because they'd label everything as FAGCORE and call it a day.

>> [_] Anonymous 02/26/13(Tue)01:17 No.1897293

This is fine if you're all right with standard electronic music. But he doesn't touch on several
entire genres. Where IS the Drone, Glitch, and Ambient? Or the various -core musics? (Breakcore,
splittercore, etc etc). In b4 5smart9you, gtfo asshole, etc etc.

>> [_] Anonymous 02/26/13(Tue)01:30 No.1897297

Glitch and Ambient are included in the most recent Ishkur's Guide.

However, genres still left out include:
  -Breakcore
  -Chillwave
  -Drill'n'Bass
  -Dubstep
  -Electroswing
  -Go-Go
  -Jumpstyle
  -Psybreaks
  -Rave Breaks
  -Spacesynth
  -Trap
  -Yougettheidea

He labeled what should be "donk" under "house" as "stupid", sounds like a rude guy.

This shit needs updated fucking now

>> [_] !!2ar4Hrl4APT 02/26/13(Tue)03:00 No.1897366

Speedcore needs to branch off to splittercore/extratone.

>> [_] Anonymous 02/26/13(Tue)03:31 No.1897376

New to this stuff myself really. Only recently have I opened my horizons about new genres of
music. Despite the age, I feel like I have a better understanding than I did before, and that's
  pretty cool. Thanks OP.
