When I hear it I think of sympathy for the lonely people, not contempt. And the part of the song where Father Mckeznie buries Eleanor Rigby made me think of a man burying her as her only friend, not as her murderer. I always thought of it as her dying of old age or disease, not murder. I suppose everyone is allowed their own interpretation of any song but that was just... ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. Oh and don't get me started about the face/jar thing.
