Are you seriously defending VLC? It's an unstable piece of shit no matter what is running it.
You're better off using MPC-HC.

Well that's too bad, because you can choose between one or the other.
I'm being serious, I literally cannot find another version that has good quality without the
credits.

what the fuck is wrong with VLC?
I've been using it for years and it works better and faster then anything else I have tried.
No clunky bull shit, just easy simple play back.
I hear you guys say it has problems but I have yet to experience any.

give media player classic a shot. you can get it in the combined community code pack and
personally it's the best media player I've tried.
>> [_] Anonymous 04/01/13(Mon)18:27 No.1931629
>>1931627
Yea I have used that before as well. It works fine, I just prefer VLC for the videos I watch.
but that's just preference. I have still not seen any problem with VLC.

>vlc can play all formats
You're using a very broad definition of the word "play"

>>1931630
It plays them un hindered for me.
>> [_] Anonymous 04/01/13(Mon)18:32 No.1931638
>>1931627
agreed that covers more formats, or used to at least, with the codec pack, than everything else
I've tried. still can't play everything though.
And for everyone else, putting an ultimatum on the best media player is pointless; as new
versions come out and new demands come out the capabilities change relative to each other
constantly. I'm not saying at a given point in time one cannot be simply superior to the others,
but its still VERY ephemeral, and therefore pointless to debate.

Why does /g/ hate VLC so much anyways? I always thought it was just a troll, like Thinkpads or

Not using Combined Community Codec Pack and playing everything on Classic Player.
Why?
