S'anybody else had an issue with firefox fucking with flash? Used to be able to play .swfs that I
had saved, and it keeps telling me DO YOU WANT TO SAVE OR USE THIS SOMEWHERE ELSE.
yet i can still use /f/ fine.
Yeah yeah yeah use a flash player, I do, except I don't care for them too much.

download the latest flash executable
right click a swf, open with the executable set as default action for swfs

I tried to help you as I don't use Firefox.
I really don't see the point of running anything except GIFs or 50mb SWFs through a browser.
