That's because those bugs were fixed like 5 years ago and this stuff is circulated only by
retarded fanboys of other media players (yeah, something like that exists).
Still, the bad subtitle quality is still true though.

They improved it like last year. It still gets mad banding.
Media Player Classic is infinitely better.

KMPlayer is pretty neat.
>> [_] Anonymous 06/08/13(Sat)07:51 No.1997218
I use VLC for pretty much everything. I only see shit like that in two instances. Either the
video is only partially downloaded, or I'm being a fucktard and have a billion things running in
the background.

Just like you have the wars between Console Fanboys (Xbox v Playstation v Wii v Retro's), Browser
Fanboys (Internet Exploder [Yes, there are still fanboys for the best browser for obtaining
another browser] v Firefox v Safari v Others), and Hardware/OS Fanboys (Mac v PC v Linux
Distro's), you have Application Fanboys of all stripes, and VLC is no exception.
Zealotry is not relegated to any one form of thought or belief, after all. Personally, I'm well
aware that just because something was God-Tier in the past, doesn't mean it will always be so.
Things change, time moves on, and newer things evolve into existence from the ashes of the past.
On that note, anyone have a suggestion on a good browser? Firefox has become rather
resource-heavy lately, and has had a tendency to hog my RAM for itself, at the expense of things
I used to be able to run alongside it with no issue, so I'm looking for viable alternatives.

I only get this with broken videos, or when I have a lot of disk activity while playing 4k stuff.

I'd suggest switching to Nightly. For pre-alpha, the stability's not too bad. Memory usage is
slightly better, plus it's updated every 24 hours. Most add-ons are compatible, too.

>Nightly
Will check it out. Thanks for the recommendation. What company is behind it, if I may ask? I
assume they're a smaller startup, considering I haven't heard of this browser in the past.

He means Firefox Nightly.Nightly builds are a devlopment process
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightly_builds
And Mozilla just calls their browser version that is in this stage "Nightly".

I'm using Sleipnir, which is surprisingly not terrible for being a nippon-made PC program.
Lightweight, fast, support for Chrome's extensions, and hasn't crashed on me yet. Only downside
I've found so far is that it shits itself when printing things.
