[_] [L] Anon 1111051 4chan rss DATAtest (see reply) Marked for deletion (old).
>> [_] Anon 1111053 This test is to ensure that actual DATA is coming through the rss feed. It should display the last post number and last image number on each board. The last 3 digits of the post is held next to each board name. The only thing I would need you to post is: What is the date/time/timezone showing when the /h/ board loads its last post? (see example in next post)
>> [_] Anon 1111054 I'm 12 years old, what is this?
>> [_] Anon 1111055 >DATAtest I read that as DATAss
>> [_] Anon 1111056 OH SHI- Well, that sucks. Anywhere it shows "9000" means it is NOT loading data. No wonder we're getting fuckfast load times! I assumed that it would read data from the same domain (4chan.org), but it seems to only load data from the EXACT domain it resides on (cgi.4chan.org). Anyhow, the /h/ date for me shows: Sat, 07 Nov 2009 12:30:39 EST
>> [_] Anon 1111058 most of the boards are just showing 9000. good luck OP
>> [_] Anon 1111073 >># That's because most of the boards are zip.4chan.org domains. Only the cgi.4chan.org domain boards are readable. If you know of a way to allow the reading of .rss files across subdomains in Flash, let me know. It seems 4chan does NOT have a crossdomain.xml file... and I don't believe that System.security.allowDomain in actionscript would work.
>> [_] Anon 1111074 I find your lack of /b/ disturbing.
>> [_] Anon 1111150 >># /b/ doesn't have an .rss feed. Neither does /r9k/. /rs/ has one but it doesn't fit the format. Any word on reading an .xml file across a subdomain? (i.e. read zip.4chan.org/file when the .swf resides on cgi.4chan.org)
>> [_] Anon 1111158 >># I tried that too but with html files for a flash based browser. I couldn't bypass that problem.
>> [_] Anon 1111173 it seems to only be pulling data from cgi.4chan.org
>> [_] idea? Anon 1111192 make it for greasemonkey?
>> [_] Anon 1111207 Sat, 07 Nov 2009 17:29:24 EST
>> [_] Anon 1111231 I'm pretty sure that without a crossdomain.xml file, you're boned. If you hosted the flash on your own site, then had a CGI proxy on that same domain, you could do it, but that's a bit of a pain.
