  Before, you had to make GOOD music in order to make a living as a musician, now, just do 'good

  IT's kinda like video games. Why make a great game when good sells better?

  this is a fair point. Viewing music analitically, rather than 'what sounds the best' could cause
  a class war. And at the same time, the music you like could very well be 3 entirely different,
  and even contradicting genre's.

  And that being said, this song very well could simply appeal to a lot of people's likes, but at
  least it sounds good, rather than "Friday" or "Baby".

  Personally, I like this song. I like a lot of songs. Is this song the best? No, but it's better
  than a lot of songs nowadays.

  Stop shitposting this stupid fucking song. Sure, it's a "good" song as far as mainstream indie
  shit goes, but in all seriousness it's a mediocre song. It's got good chords, fairly good build
  up, and the lyrics aren't half bad when you listen to what they're saying. But what gets me is
  the fucking gay dubstep shit. It's so unnecessary and puts of the ambiance of the entire song,
  like it's too much to actually enjoy the song for what it is. It's just a poorly executed song.

  I already fully appreciate the music of the disgruntled psycho and even though I don't do drugs,
  I remember just about every dream I have (or at least the ones before I wake up (hurr every
  dream)) so, it's as if I get to experience a crazy drug induced world every night. I'm currently
  writing a book based on the experiences I've had in the world and I find that music like this
  helps me to "sync up" with that world while I'm awake.

  imagine dragons are contrived synthpop consisting of bland lazily arpeggiated instrumentation
  that conveys only a hollow, self-aggrandizing sense of grandeur. they're very similar to
  nickelback both in songwriting and creative approach. they shamelessly appropriate a stylish fl
  studio brand of EDM devoid of any genuine experimentation or artistic creativity. even their
  songs, who i have heard praised only due to being "catchy," are completely forgettable with not a
  single catchy melody. arena-style music with no genuine emotion or creativity. one of the worst
  bands in the modern musical landscape.

  at least brostep makes me want to dance, this doesn't. as mentioned earlier, the thing is nothing
  but a modern day Nickelback.
