out of all the things that don't make sense, like the shark talking or the girl screaming under

Well, cartoons breathing underwater and talking/raping anthropomorphic sharks are common enough
for the given media for one to willingly suspend disbelief. I know egoraptor is going to go for
the rape joke, I know cartoon animals talk, and I know cartoon characters only drown when the
plot dictates it necessary. but come on- if you are going to make a shark caricature, you give it
a fucking dorsal fin. that's like drawing a zebra without stripes or a bird without a beak. Its a
fuckin signifier. It imbues sharkitude. Ask a toddler to draw a shark with crayons and even with
all the errors of scale, anatomy, and perspective, you get a big angry grey blotch with teeth and
a dorsal fin.
