  ahh yes. I remember those days.
  The death knell for HD was when Disney and Universal signed up exclusively for bluray.
  I remember people saying "oh, Porn companies are backing HD because it's cheaper"
  and thought that because porn went to VHS, that the same thing would happen with HD.
  PROBLEM: Porn + Internet x Napster=Free porn!
  And so, we are stuck with bluray, wherein disks are still fuck ass expensive and the industry
  STILL makes dvds, ensuring a continued two tier selection for any given title.
