this isnt about an american tragedy, this is about a global tragedy, one that has gone on since
the dawn of of. fuck 9/11 this is about brothers who lost sisters, sister who lost brothers, kids
who lost their parents, parents who lost their kids. It doesnt matter where it happened or how.
The untimely death of innocent people is ALWAYS a tragedy im american and i can honestly say if
this happened in say iraq or somewhere like that i would still feel sad and help people to mourn

Agreed, the loss of innocent life is a tragedy many people feel all over the world. Those that
shout obscenities at others for expressing their loss are fools, either they don't understand
that pain or their so lost in their self absorbed little world that their expression of pain
became anger.
I watched 9/11 live as it happened and the loss of innocent life was atrocious, but then again,
so was the gassing in Syria, and the hostage situation in Kenya. So much innocent life is lost on
a daily basis. to quote Charlie Chaplin:
"We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than
cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all
will be lost."

Right in the goddamn feels.
My brother was in the Pentagon on that day. When I heard about the initial attacks, I was
shocked. Then when the pentagon was attacked, I worried.
It just so happened that my bro had taken a cigarette break in the center concourse. He tells me
that as soon as he lit up, he heard an extremely loud crash.
When the smoke settled, and the bodies were found and removed... my brother went to his office on
the 3rd floor. Where his desk would have been was a giant, flaming airplane tire.
To this day, my brother says that smoking saved his life.
