File[22 Statistics That Prove That The Middle Class Is Being Systematically Wiped Out Of Existence In America.swf] - (128 KB) [_] [?] Anon 1348836 Serious business. >> [_] Anon 1348859 this article does very much make sense, the thing is though alot of it sounds lik complaining about not being able to cope wit having to have less commodities around. dont you think the garment workers in cambodia and china live pretty shitty lives themselves getting payed less than a dollar an hour >> [_] Anon 1348874 All of this is happening, all the while people are bitching and complaining about how horrible the 1950's were, and that the panacea to our current socio-economic problem is that should further progress into a more pseudo-communistic form of government where everyone is equal and where there would be even more food stamps and luxuries for the poor. But when push comes to shove, you have to realize that it's in human nature to want to be better than everyone else, which is one of the key reason communism failed in Soviet Russia. We need an incentive to work and procreate, but not depend entirely on capitalism so that most profits don't go to the top 1%. >> [_] Anon 1348878 >># is that *we should dat typo >> [_] Anon 1348882 >># If you want to be coldly analytical about it, the "best" move for the US would be to leverage its overwhelming military power and go empire building again. Base your military ethics / strategy on those of the colonial British, i.e. be utterly merciless monsters, and you'd do rather well. >> [_] Anon 1348890 >># And how would one go about being utterly merciless monsters? Please digress. Would it be to totally wipe out the lower-IQ Americans, regardless of race, wealth, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or beliefs, that bring the country down? Or would it be to wipe out the whole system and start from scratch? (which would be unfair to the hard-working Americans that worked their way up while the lazy mooched off of them and had more kids.) Respond! I'm curious. >> [_] Anon 1348902 >># I never said it was a feasible or desirable course of action, merely the "best" from an amoral economic point of view. The Brits never wiped out their underclass, merely put them to work in dangerous conditions for very little money / enlisted them in the military / sent them to places like Australia for forced labour. I don't know, it's hardly an apocalyptic scenario the west are facing. Certainly an American can't compete for a lot of unskilled labour / manufacturing jobs, but for the more skilled ones foreign competitors are also expecting more money, developing their own middle class. E.g. it's already happening that software development is being outsourced to other, cheaper countries rather than India. >> [_] Anon 1348908 nice satisics >> [_] Anon 1348910 The job situation in the US has become a major problem. It's exactly as the article says. We are competing with workers that are paid less then a $1 an hr around the world. not only that but we have the situation with the illegals that are driving down wages as well. Not bashing them as they just wanna feed their families but its the big businesses that love to hire them and take advantage of them. meanwhile american citizens are out of work. It doesn't stop there, however, we're also importing SKILLED laborers in the technology sector and granting them visas to come replace us. i'm honestly not sure what its going to be like in 10 years. Especially for those of us that work to get an education and bring a skill to the market only to be replaced by an indian that the government helped ship in. The government that is supposed to be protecting it's citizens is literally destroying us by driving these corporations to this and allowing it, in some cases aiding it. >> [_] Anon 1348912 >># What defines amoral? Why should we limit our productivity and our possibilities by a set of rules? Shouldn't we be more focused on our priorities instead of how to get them done while being politically correct? >> [_] Anon 1348913 All y'all suckas in mid-class are screwed, I'm lucky ta be low-class! Yeah... kinda... I guess >> [_] Anon 1348914 >># Well, it all boils down to a simple case of survival of the fittest, but not fittest as in the physical connotation, but the best adapt. It's all biology and genetics. The best skilled pharmacist has the most success gets paid the most generously and ends up having the best looking wife, reinforcing his stay in the gene pool. Regardless of race, the illegal immigrants came here with a rather basic skill set and are willing to work for below minimum wage, and we as Americans have to take the initiative upon ourselves to also expand our empire and have our citizens move out and compete and beat in their country. But then again, we have the better economy, at least had one, and a more stable life-style while they're leeching off of it. Your call. >> [_] Anon 1348917 >># I understand your point, but all the wealth is here for the most part and they all want a piece of the pie. Unfortunately for them they aren't getting it rather just being taken advantage of. We both lose really, the only winner is big business. As far as us going out to compete with them, i'm not sure about that as most americans probably wouldnt wanna live on less then even they are making. but we may be just like them soon...that is if this keeps up >> [_] Anon 1348918 BORING. >> [_] Anon 1348920 >># Instead of sneaking into America and trying to "earn" their piece of their pie, they ought to go back and make their own home country, work and glorify it through THEIR own work and bake their own pie instead of stealing ours. Unfortunately, our businesses are letting, to hell with that, encouraging them to come here and get a piece of the pie because the business owners get an even larger piece of it. Which reverts to the first point. Capitalism fails because it encourages greed and doesn't prevent corruption, and communism fails because it doesn't provide and incentive to work (being that we're all equal and our work won't profit us personally anyhow) >> [_] Anon 1348926 >># 100% agree with you dude. exactly what i'm saying, just wish i knew what we can do about it. I think americans are starting to wise up, but still very ignorant. Alot don't even realize how serious this is. they will see, probably too late tho >> [_] Anon 1348954 Um, instead of whinging about the content, can anyone identify the source of this text? It reads like a chain email. >> [_] Anon 1348963 >># it says at the bottom its copyright to "the american dream" whoever that is. google it >> [_] Anon 1348964 The government doesn't care about you, all they care about is money and power. It just so happens that the best way to get money and power is by taking it away from you. There are only two options: fight back somehow (voting is NOT fighting back) or vote for the guy who wants to make the government smaller (or at least not make it any bigger) which is usually the republican. Also, lowering your taxes but raising taxes on businesses doesn't help you, because when businesses have to pay more taxes they just raise their prices and you get no where. Raising taxes on businesses does* make it harder on small businesses than large ones though, since small businesses aren't big and established enough to use corporate tricks to reduce their taxes. That's a good way to widen the gap between the rich and poor. >> [_] Anon 1348966 >># right you are >> [_] Anon 1349020 i refuse to believe anyone actually read that flash >> [_] Anon 1349027 >># You do realize that making the government smaller won't accomplish jack shit, right? The republicans you think will fix anything are just as fucked up as everyone else, they're all in bed with big business, and no electing will fix anything. Viva La Revolución. >> [_] Anon 1349047 TLDR. "Statistics....that prove" is a contradiction in terms.
