At that point in the game, the game spawns so many jelly fish things that you can just move in circles around the arena shooting things in your path and letting a bunch of jellies build up behind you. There's an enemy limit so eventually almost everything is a jelly. At that point you kill them all at once then repeat the process. If you play it safe you won't ever die. Mid-game leveling pixels and magnet (along with regen) seems important to keep yourself alive with level ups. Offensive powerups are essential to staying alive. Always stick around one on the ground for when you get swarmed.

Impatience causes the game to ramp up faster than you can handle. What you're going to want to do is upgrade that *regeneration* and play the game methodically. I just got to 41 through upgrading regeneration, piercing, speed, and critical hit rate with spare points thrown into spread. Good luck.
