When you finally complete a rare monster quest you are jumped forward like 8 locations and the monsters there are _guaranteed_ to kill you. I still think OP should put the code in some open code repository so he can release updates incrementally and also so all the forks will be in the same location. Not to mention people could collaborate so game imbalances aren't introduced as easily.

The pally if fucking bad ass, and is raping in the Dead Forest at level 13, while the Bard is still in the Dark Cave at level 12.

The most valuable item in the game is Last Item in the Game, with +Infinity Sword and Googolplex Dollar Bill close. The Castle is about halfway through the game. Magical enemies have their health increased by a multiplier of 8 (!!!!!!!!!) and you can end up facing a force of 22 of these at once near the end. Good luck.
