Geek, nerd, and to a lesser extent dork had their meanings. Geek certainly had more social
ability and less purely academic ability, or maybe it would be more accurate to say nerds had
less social but more academic as geeks were still a bit pathetic but quite smart.
I'm happy for meanings of words to change, as long as people don't get annoyed that "being a
massive fucking loser" used to be a part of those meanings and some people will still use them
that way.
I heartily embrace the term "neckbeard", or legbeard for the vaguely female variety, as it
highlights the grossness of the individual it describes.
