It's ~3000 fairly short lines, which I still don't have any intention of doing.

It helps if you maintain the line position, i.e. a translated line should be where the
untranslated line originally was.
If you think that a line doesn't make sense, I may or may not have deleted more than I should
have when I was removing "garbage" between lines.
If you catch any characters that weren't ｏｂｖｉｏｕｓｌｙ ｔｙｐｅｄ ｉｎ Ｊａｐａｎｅｓｅ ｍｏｄｅ, you probably found a
garbage character that I didn't catch, and that's where a new line should be.

Nice, progress.
I have no knowledge of Japanese but I could do a machine translation and then rewrite it so it
makes more sense, but I couldn't guarantee anything beyond that
