The anime is Bakemonogatari

Bakemonogatari is an awesome anime. It has vampires fighting demons and bizarre supernatural
events.
But when I tried to show it to someone else, I realized that it's mostly just weird people
talking to each other in artsy designer environments. For like 75% of the show.
I still love it, in fact its probably my favorite series, but it's not for everyone.
