  I will never understand why people brag about League when they've never so much as touched Dota.
  It's like showboating your flame-pattern training wheels on your bike.
  I don't know how or why the guy in the video had so many blinks with an instant cast time and
  virtually no cooldown, but considering the speed of the enemy projectiles, it's not overly
  impressive that he could dodge them.
  I'm sure most players would be able to recreate that situation if given the chance.

  I don't know how the hero works so I can't say too much, but yeah normally in dota if you're
  chasing a hero with mobility escapes you'll want to spread out over the high/low ground or just
  generally cover each path until someone can land a stun on him.
  It looks like everyone in the video was just right clicking him and wondering why they couldn't

  Actually, I've played DotA. And there's a reason I play/prefer LoL. You guys say its a lot
  harder...it really really isn't. When I first started DotA I was penta's everywhere. Here, is a
  different story. Getting a penta is like a 1ina5 million chance. (Unless you're stupidly fed
  which is also pretty hard since season 3)
  There's a reason LoL is also the biggest E-sport as well with prizes of millions of dollars for
  winners. I will admit, your community and players are civil people though compared to the LoL
  commute.....sweet jesus.

  When I tried league I thought the same thing, it would be my first time trying out a hero and I
  immediately knew how to steamroll the enemies in my lane.
  It was ridiculously easy and overall not that entertaining.
  I got to level 20 I think.
  As an avid league player I'm sure you've got thousands of games under your belt and a full
  runepage or what have you, and you can probably come at me with something like "you only got to
  level 20 you haven't even played league yet, everything up to 30 is a tutorial" etc. like I've
  been told a million times.
  That's exactly my point though, the same goes for matchmaking in dota (2), you're paired with
  people who have just as much knowledge and experience as you do, so unless you show the game what
  you know and how skilled you are over the course of a few hundred matches, you'll never get
  paired with challenging opponents.

  Also when people say dota is harder, they're usually referring to the more convoluted gameplay
  mechanics and how there's always some new number or effect or other part of the engine that you
  never knew about.
  Without going into detail, we can just say dota has a lot more math behind it than league and so
  people are always going to be arguing over whether or not something should or shouldn't be
  viable, etc.
  In other words, the skillcap in dota is higher than that of league.

  Obviously the skill of your enemies comes into play, but just looking at it fundamentally you can
  see that heroes like meepo and invoker are almost impossible to play perfectly but grant greater
  rewards for those who excel.
  That's the very definition of skillcap.
  If I'm wrong in my speculation that you briefly tried and dropped dota then I apologize.
  If you've actually played a good amount of dota, tried some of the higher skillcap heroes a few
  times, gotten yourself out of the brown league and into some competent matchmaking, and still
  prefer league, that's perfectly fine and I respect your opinion.
  Just recognize that it's an opinion, nobody in their sane mind can say league has a higher
  skillcap than dota.

  And the reason league is the more popular esport is because it appeals to the largest audience:
  casuals.
  I'm not saying that as a bad thing, nor am I calling all league players casuals.
  If not for league there would be hardly any moba players and valve never would have bothered to
  pick up dota.
  That's just why it's more popular though.
  And fyi dota 2's TI3 had almost a $3m prize pool for the winners.
  The game was still in beta at the time.
