The anime is pretty dull if you ask me. If you really would go for it, go for the visual novel
trilogy.
It goes like this:
Muv-Luv
Extra > Unlimited > Alternative
Note that the visual novel versions are not the same as in the anime, but it's damn worth it,
unless you don't finish it that is.
