Usually what happens is the doctor gives you the whole "you're going to be feeling relaxed" or "count down from 100" and like 5-20 seconds after he starts talking you lose consciousness and next thing you remember is waking up in recovery. >> [_] Anonymous 01/11/14(Sat)04:37 No.2254685 Oh god, I cringed That was cool as fuck though, not gonna lie >> [_] Anonymous 01/11/14(Sat)04:41 No.2254690 Ha ha, this reminds me of that one time this old dude tripped his ass down the escalators at a local mall and his leg was caught on something so it got janked backwards and his knee tore open, there was bits of flesh stuck in the escalator and shit. Legs look fucking strange from the inside and out, at least until the blood caught up and started spurting everywhere. I imagine it dripping into the machinery in the escalator, must have been one pissed off janitor having to clean that shit out. Anyway, this was pretty chill, I was expecting another gay unfunny meme halfway through it, thank you for not being a complete cock-knocker when submitting flashes. >> [_] Anonymous 01/11/14(Sat)04:45 No.2254694 that was pretty cool I feel like I could do a knee replacement now >> [_] Anonymous 01/11/14(Sat)04:46 No.2254695 >>2254690 They actually call in viscera clean up guys to collect all human tissue >> [_] Anonymous 01/11/14(Sat)04:50 No.2254697 Wait wait wait. So people are awake during surgery, they're just given drugs so that they forget it? Holy shit >> [_] Anonymous 01/11/14(Sat)05:17 No.2254718 >>2254697 Yep. Some people don't forget it for some reason, and remember feeling everything that's done to them. They're still paralyzed, just they can't do anything about it. They just have the lie there and endure torture for a few hours. >> [_] Anonymous 01/11/14(Sat)05:28 No.2254722 i quit halfway. >he'll wake up to half an open knee with holes drilled in it lel.jpg >> [_] Anonymous 01/11/14(Sat)05:40 No.2254724 >all these people trying to scare other away from surgery Jeez, you guys are goddamn dickheads. I've had 2 surgeries on my spine done in quick succession (1 weeks apart), both lasting around 7 hours. They even woke me uo during the second surgery to check that they didn't fuck up any nerves or anything. Basically, they explained to me how I will be woken up and will have to move my feet a little bit so that they can make sure it works alright. And the best part? I don't remember any of it at all. Apart from the painful recovery that took me a few weeks, it wasn't a bad experience at all. Oh, and during any serious surgery they MAKE SURE that you're not awake. Srs. >> [_] Anonymous 01/11/14(Sat)05:58 No.2254728 NIPPLE KNEE SURGERY >> [_] Anonymous 01/11/14(Sat)06:00 No.2254730 >>2254718 I felt that temporarily with eye surgery. I had 3 done, and that 3rd will be my last. The reality didnt really set in till I broke a bone in high school. They used morphene while they were bending my bone back in place. I was thinking how horrific it is to be tricked into a sense of well being with drugs. Even for regular doctors visits, the sight of these sterile environments is enough to induce panic in me. |
