Disappointed.

Uh well I'm looking at some images of this rock and it doesn't look anything like this. Or
schist. It looks kind of like a bunch of flat planes emerging and converging. Those ones you
linked me don't have the blue shimmer or the texture that this one does.
>> [_] http://youtu.be/b8teT3R9RNs 12/03/13(Tue)17:18 No.2206052
Well fuck if you guys don't know I'm going to have to go to my local college for answers... :<

Relax, I was just pulling your leg. I can't really tell from the blurry video and all those
lensflares. I know I've come across something very similar, but I'm drawing blanks. For whatever
reason, I'm reminded of pyrite, but the crystals are much too fine and blue.
>took a geology class in college for fun

Forgive me I just always thought that Quartz was tougher than what I am holding. Are you sure? I
haven't been able to view a picture of quartz quite like this
>> [_] Anonymous 12/03/13(Tue)17:45 No.2206086
Anon, I actually have some of the same type of crystal, and have also never found out what it is.
Very interested- lets keep the conversation rolling.
>> [_] Anonymous 12/03/13(Tue)17:45 No.2206087
>>2206082
Yeah, definitely not quartz. Have you tried a hardness test? You don't need to break it or
anything... just scratch it against materials of different density. And would you say the mineral
is more crystalline or metallic?
>> [_] Anonymous 12/03/13(Tue)17:47 No.2206089
Is that motherfuckin Bismuth?

I broke it in the video. It definately feels like a crystal. Or like >>2206090 a mineral. But it
is so beautifully blue. I wish we had a better video device.
