I like it, though I would be embarised if anyone but me could know I was enjoying such a cliche
piece. Present company of anons excluded of course.
Though my main gripe would be that the voice acting for all but the mystery man was pretty
deadpan or at least to reserved and sounding amateur. Mystery man's recording was also on
obviously sub par equipment, but he managed to exaggerate his voice well with overly cartoony
action and style.

Which parts exactly are cliche? Just the way it does all the anime closeups and stuff or the
actual character design? Because the animator of this only designed mystery man, the other
characters were designed by the person he was going against in an art competition.

Well the sort of way it is really Shounen esque.
Like the mystery man really acts like a shounen villain. Chuckling to himself, vaguely hinting at
his real powers in a sort of smug way, the choreography, theres more to it but I can't be
bothered to watch again and my memory is absolutely dreadful.
It all has this very shounen air to it, I'm sure another anon can put it far more eloquently than
I can. I am not too good with words. Suffice it to say we are not really talking about character
designs, at least I do not believe the others are.
