I admit I know virtually nothing about the Toho world... but I don't get the Yukkuri. I get that
their shape is reminiscent of some kind of Japanese food stuffed with bean jam. But in the
fandom, such as this, it appears that their only purpose is to be brutally killed in the most
terrible fashion possible... Such as squeezing them to death, smashing one while it's apparently
giving birth... So... what's the deal?

Poor yukkuris. I wish everyone would just take it easy and leave them alone.

The Yukkuris are in fact, made from bean paste. As for why they're always show being brutally
killed, it's because they have a 'crying moe'.
Touhou fans have made up entirely too much stuff with them, so it's probably a good idea just to
stay away.

They are killed horribly because they are extremely rude and ungrateful. Being delicious is just
an added perk.
